Graham 'nico' Nickless
Graham Nickless’s first book celebrates his remarkable 50 years as a sports journalist which has seen him cover some of the biggest sporting events at home and abroad.
The former Fleet Street journalist has worked as a staff man at the Daily Star and Sunday Mirror but most of his career he has run his own company, Nico Sports Ltd, as a freelance reporter, media consultant and now author.
Graham has featured on Sky Sports, TalkSport, BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Radio Solent and has written sports news stories, match reports and features for most of the UK tabloid newspapers and a small number of the broadsheets over the past five decades.
He is currently the official spokesman for the “Honour Bobby Moore” committee which set up a petition on change.org to have England’s late 1966 World Cup winning captain knighted posthumously.
Graham kicked off his career at the Bracknell News in September 1973, moved on to the Reading Evening Post before commuting to London to write for Football Weekly News magazine where he was spotted by the Daily Star sports desk.
Married to Lesley for over 40 years, Graham has three daughters and three grandchildren and lives in Bournemouth.
